What it does

Measure how ads change what shoppers think, feel, and buy.

Brand advertisers want insight beyond impressions. Osmos BLS runs holdout experiments inside the native shopping flow, with surveys tied to transaction data. Brands learn how ads shift recall, awareness, consideration, and intent. Retailers enable zero-party measurement brands cannot get elsewhere.

Ghost Bidding methodology

Brands get true scientific holdout. Control group built from the real campaign audience by simulating lost bids. No panel guesswork, no synthetic baselines.

100% deterministic measurement

Every data point is a verified shopper. Logged-in user IDs on the retailer platform. No probabilistic matching, no panel extrapolation. Confidence in every cohort.

Closed-loop lift to sales

Brands see what shoppers say and what they buy. Survey responses match to transaction history. Purchase behavior of positive-sentiment shoppers visible in reports.

Surveys natively in the shopping flow

Surveys live inside the native shopping experience. Loyalty points, coupon unlocks, and weekly draws fuel response rates 75x higher than panel surveys.

Smart funnel survey across 4 stages

Brands get full-funnel insights from recall to intent. Adaptive 4-step survey covers ad recall, awareness, mid-funnel, and purchase intent. IAB-aligned metrics.

Audience enrichment from survey data

Retailers build intent segments from survey data. Positive-sentiment users feed future targeting. Retarget high-intent shoppers who have not yet converted.

frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered.

Answers about how Osmos Measurement sits inside your store stack.

How is this different from a panel-based brand lift study?

Panel-based studies rely on probabilistic matching, synthetic baselines, and audiences who self-identify as relevant. Brand Lift Study runs the holdout inside the real shopping audience using Ghost Bidding, and matches survey responses to actual transaction data. Every data point is a verified shopper, not a panel respondent.

How long does a Brand Lift Study need to run?

Minimum 8 weeks with sufficient audience reach. Reliable lift detection needs enough exposed and control-group users to meet statistical confidence. Smaller campaigns may require longer windows or higher daily reach thresholds.

What types of campaigns can run a Brand Lift Study?

Onsite sponsored display campaigns in Phase 1. Other ad formats and offsite campaigns are on the roadmap. Eligibility depends on audience definition, reach, and presence of the Osmos survey unit in the shopper flow.
